Can i get the quicktime firefox plugin without installing quicktime movie player? - quicktime 64bit black control bar
If I install QuickTime suffer audio dropouts go, you only need the plug-in for Firefox.
On a side note: Who knows how to solve quicktime/firefox/64bit black on the control bar operating systems?

io'm note that the exact answer to your question is to install - but it is never necessary to QuickTime - rather than installing qtlite - read about it and download it here: http://www.codecguide.com / qt_lite. htm.
